  • KPresenter - A full-featured presentation program.
  • Kexi - An integrated environment for creating databases and database applications. (Note: Kexi is not released as part of KOffice 2.0, but will return in KOffice 2.1.)

Creativity Applications

  • Karbon - A vector drawing application.
  • Krita - A layered pixel image manipulation application
  • Kivio - A Visio®-style flowcharting application. (Note: Kivio is not released as part of KOffice 2.0.)

Management Application

  • KPlato - An integrated project management and planning tool.

Supporting Applications

  • KChart - An integrated graph and chart drawing tool. (Note: KChart, the application, is not released as part of KOffice 2.0, but charts can be used anyway as an embedded shape.)
  • KFormula - A powerful math tool and formula editor. (Note: KFormula is not released as part of KOffice 2.0. A formula shape is expected to be present in KOffice 2.1)

KOffice was the first office suite to embrace the OASIS OpenDocument Format that has now become an ISO standard, and the second to use it as the default format.

KOffice builds on the Qt toolkit and technology from the award-winning KDE desktop environment, the most widely used Linux desktop. It is widely regarded as the most flexible and customizable office suite, making it perfect for custom solutions centered round the OpenDocument Format.

The current stable version of KOffice is 2.0, which runs on Linux and other UNIX-based operating systems. Binaries for Windows and MacOS X are expected soon.
